Victoria Karpova from Pokrovsk has been sewing all her life. The hobby, which was passed down from her grandmother, gradually turned into a way of earning money, and later into her own business. This is how the Pokrovchanka brand was born.
Until February 24, the craftswoman worked in Sloviansk, and she had to commute from her native Pokrovsk every day.
“I would wake up at 04:00, the one-way trip took more than 3 hours. But I really liked this job. I had time to do a lot of things and even read books!” says Victoria.
However, with the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops, everything changed. She had to move her equipment to Lviv. Victoria started sewing for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“When I went to Lviv, I realized that I was going to work. That’s why I put all my dreams and desires to develop the brand and create new collections on hold. Because the main thing was the desire to make clothes for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as the guys need to get dressed. I really want to believe that my clothes keep our soldiers warm and protect them!” says the craftswoman.
