Two more Coordination Centers of the Office of the Commissioner for Missing Persons opened

Today, the Commissioner for Missing Persons Oleh Kotenko is visiting the newly opened Coordination Center in Kropyvnytskyi. A similar center has been opened in Kryvyi Rih.

This became possible as a result of the partnership between the Office of the Commissioner and Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, which was evacuated to Kropyvnytskyi. A memorandum of cooperation was signed with the university.

During the meeting, the Head of the university, Serhiy Vitvitsky, noted that the institution is ready to assist the Office in its search activities and support the families of prisoners and missing persons, in particular, in the human rights, humanitarian and information aspects.

In response, Oleh Kotenko thanked the university for the opportunity to cooperate.

“Specialists know how difficult this work is. It requires attention to detail, as well as courage and sensitivity to people who are looking for or waiting for their loved ones. The more of us are involved in the search, the faster the result will be,” shared his experience Oleh Kotenko.

Currently, there are 14 Coordination Centers in Ukraine: in Kyiv, Dnipro, Lviv, Rivne, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Mykolaiv, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsky, Sumy, Odesa, Kropyvnytskyi, Kryvyi Rih and Zaporizhzhia regions.
