In the Global Soft Power Index, Ukraine was ranked 19th in terms of influence and 37th out of 121 countries in the global soft power ranking. This international study of the perception of national brands, conducted by Brand Finance, covers 100 thousand respondents.
The index shows a country’s ability to influence the world order through persuasion rather than coercion and force. Among the indicators studied are the influence, recognition and reputation of countries.
Thanks to the successful use of diplomatic instruments, Ukraine has become one of the 20 most influential countries in the world.
Last year, Ukraine was ranked 45th in the influence ranking. This year, the country has risen from 47th to 14th place in terms of recognition.
The results were presented on March 2nd in London at the Global Soft Power Summit 2023, which this year focused on Ukraine. Speakers included former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, First Lady Olena Zelenska, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba.
