During a live broadcast on ICTV, Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk called on the elderly, people with limited mobility, and sick people to temporarily leave the disaster area caused by the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant disaster.

According to the Vice Prime Minister, the humanitarian crisis in Kherson region is not over yet, and we face serious challenges ahead. And it is not only water, but also the consequences caused by it. Among other things, we are talking about the sanitary and epidemiological situation, mine danger, and many other factors.

“I ask people in the disaster’s epicenter to evacuate. Especially people with limited mobility, older and sick people. We need to wait until the aftermath is overcome, and the situation is fully stabilized,” summarized Iryna Vereshchuk.
