Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk met with representatives of international humanitarian organizations to discuss cash payments to the population affected by the man-made disaster at the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant.
The Ministry of Reintegration and international partners have developed a mechanism for additional one-time payments to residents of Kherson and Mykolaiv regions affected by flooding.
As a result of the meeting, international partners agreed unanimously to support the victims with cash payments.
A mechanism is being developed to provide one-time financial assistance to the affected population from the state.
The amount of payments will be established soon. The regional military administrations of the affected regions will identify the list of cities and towns eligible for cash payments.
“We must take care of financial support for the most affected citizens. We are grateful that our international partners are supporting our people!” Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk said during the conference.
