Today is International Refugee Day. It aims to mobilize political resources and focus the attention of the world’s authorities on supporting those fleeing the war.
Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk spoke at an event organized by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to mark the day.
The Vice Prime Minister thanked the international organizations that have helped and continue helping Ukrainian asylum seekers. We are talking about humanitarian aid, employment, etc.
She also noted the high level of coordination between the partners and the Ukrainian authorities.
The official emphasized that russia has challenged not only Ukraine but the entire civilized world and international humanitarian law. Only through joint efforts can we defeat the enemy.
“We have a huge incentive to fight and a core to live. We fight, we have hope and we do not lose it. We wake up with it, we go to bed with it, and we will win,” added Iryna Vereshchuk.
