International partners have provided nearly 170 billion euros to Ukraine since the beginning of the war. Foreign government and international financial assistance include military, economic, and humanitarian aid.

That’s according to an updated Kiel Institute for the World Economy study.

Forty countries and European institutions, the IMF and the World Bank have donated to Ukraine, according to the Ukraine Support Tracker system.

The European Union has pledged nearly 62 billion euros. The United States has pledged 71 billion euros. The list of donor countries also includes the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, Norway, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, and India.  Ukraine received an additional EUR 23 billion in international aid from them. International financial organizations provided almost EUR 13 billion more.

Half of the allocated funds are financial aid. Another 40% is military aid, and the rest is humanitarian assistance.

The United States has been the largest provider of military assistance. Military aid from American partners has already exceeded 43 billion euros.

The European Union has taken the lead in providing financial assistance. EU member states and European institutions have pledged to provide Ukraine with nearly 36 billion euros for budgetary needs.
