Since the full-blown invasion began, the State Employment Service has been actively helping to employ IDPs. These include job search and career counseling services, educational vouchers, micro-grants for business start-ups, and compensation to employers for hiring this category of citizens.
According to the State Employment Service, 93,000 IDPs have received employment assistance services since March last year, of whom 47,000 have found jobs, and more than 2,000 have received vocational training. In 2023, 6,000 IDPs received vouchers for education and training.
The Employment Service also assists IDPs in starting and developing businesses. To date, 6,000 microgrants totaling 1.2 billion UAH have been approved. These funds have helped create more than 3,000 jobs. In addition, compensation payments to employers made it possible to hire 24,000 IDPs.
The State Employment Service and the Ministry of Reintegration work closely to assist IDPs seeking employment.
