Due to the increase in the intensity of the enemy’s shelling, the Defense Council of the Sumy region decided to evacuate the residents of the settlements located in the five-kilometer border zone. Volodymyr Artyukh, the head of the Sumy regional military district administration, reported.

The decision was made after analyzing the operational situation in the border region based on reports from military, district and community leaders.

The systematic preparation of appropriate conditions for staying in host communities in safe areas is underway.
