From now on Ukrainians will celebrate:

• December 25 – Christmas (instead of January 7).
• July 15 is Ukrainian Statehood Day (instead of July 28). On the day when the memory of the state founder, the holy and equal to the apostles Prince Volodymyr the Great of Kyiv is honored.
• October 1 (instead of October 14) is the Day of Defenders of Ukraine. This is due to the tradition of the Ukrainian military to honor the intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God.

The law is planned to be signed after July 28. Ukrainians will start celebrating holidays on new dates from September 1 this year.
