Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk said this on the air of the National News Telethon.
According to her, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has set a clear task: to make sure that people have a place to return to and, most importantly, want to do so. It is the resource that creates favorable conditions for community development.
The official noted that the migration analysis of the State Border Guard Service shows that the number of returning citizens is currently higher than the number of those leaving. Iryna Vereshchuk is convinced that this is good for the country.
“For the government, it is primarily additional hard-working Ukrainian hands. These things are connected. The return of our fellow citizens, including women and children, to their homes, will give impetus to the recovery of social infrastructure and life in general. On the other hand, if the community works, recovers quickly, and can protect its residents, they will be more willing to return to their homes,” the Vice Prime Minister said.
