The process of submitting applications for participation in the pilot project to establish the Institute of Veteran’s Assistants is underway. More than 340 people expressed interest in joining the initiative.

The second phase of the selection process is nearing completion in 32 communities. They are interviewed by specially created commissions in Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Lviv, and Dnipropetrovs’k regions.

54% of applicants are women. The average age of applicants is 43. In addition, 52% have a Master’s degree.

In addition, 4 Veteran Development Centers have already opened in the pilot regions to provide veterans and their families with educational services for successful reintegration into civilian life. In particular, they plan to train veterans’ assistants.

400 citizens in 44 communities will be selected to be trained at the Veteran Development Centers.
