Since the beginning of 2023, under the government initiative “Affordable Loans 5-7-9%”, banks have provided businesses with 17,600 loans worth 60 billion UAH. The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine informs about it. 

The government program has been in effect since February 2020. Since then, 70.7 thousand loans have been issued of 227 billion UAH.

Most loans were granted for anti-crisis and anti-war purposes.

According to the Ministry of Economy, the program is most commonly used to provide loans to companies operating in the following sectors:

– Agriculture (52%);

– Trade and manufacturing (25%);

– Industrial processing (14%).

Lviv, Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Poltava, and Kyiv regions are leading in terms of the number of loan agreements concluded.

Since March of this year, the government program “Affordable Loans 5-7-9%” is also available to entrepreneurs from the territories of possible hostilities and de-occupied territories. The Ministry of Reintegration developed this initiative to provide financial support for businesses and economic recovery in the affected regions.
