During the Yalta European Strategy, Ukrainian Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets said that the mechanism for returning Ukrainian children deported from the occupied territories is developed.

According to the Ombudsperson, the mechanism for returning children has several key stages:

– Development of a mechanism for obtaining lists of children.

– Verification and updating of data.

– Documentation of the facts of the crimes and identification of new circumstances.

– Psychological rehabilitation of children after their return.

– Creation of a special rehabilitation center.

– Opening of humanitarian corridors.

All of these steps are taken to ensure the safe return of Ukrainian children to their homes.
