The US government has announced new sanctions targeting russian oligarchs, officials, and companies with ties to russia’s military-industrial complex. The US Treasury Department website reported this.

The list of sanctions comprises nearly 150 individuals and legal entities. The restrictions apply mainly to individuals involved in the russian military-industrial complex, specifically those who produce missiles, strike drones, and supply electronics and components.

The sanctions also targeted individuals who provided support to the russian government, thereby increasing russia’s ability to wage war against Ukraine. In particular, the restrictions will apply to approximately 70 legal entities and individuals involved in the expansion of energy production and exports, metallurgical, and mining activities in russia.

These restrictions are part of the US efforts to weaken russia’s capacity to wage war on Ukraine.
