Ruslan Strilets, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, with representatives from central and local executive authorities and international organizations, were present.
The topic discussed was giving free firewood to people living in frontline areas. Specifically, they talked about needs assessment.
The Vice Prime Minister said that we need to finish all necessary paperwork. «We should quickly make agreements with forestry companies and those who supply firewood. We must resolve any logistical problems».
People living in places where military operations are taking place will also be given free firewood. This will happen in the corresponding areas of eight regions, specifically: Kherson, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Luhansk.
As of today, global organizations have given solid fuel to over 18,000 individuals.
