The title of the document is ‘Human Rights Situation in the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, including the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol.’ The Government Portal reports.
This resolution applies to all temporarily occupied territories. It aims to draw the attention of the UN and the international community to the crimes committed by the occupying authorities in the TOT.
The document criticizes russia for violating international human rights and humanitarian laws, unlawfully detaining Ukrainians, and discriminating against residents of the TOT.
The russian federation is urged by the General Assembly to stop the deportation of Ukrainian children and to provide information on such children to the relevant UN agencies and international organizations. Additionally, the Assembly denounces the deliberate targeting of civilian infrastructure with missiles and UAVs.
The UN General Assembly reaffirmed the internationally recognized borders of Ukraine and stated that it does not recognize any changes in the status of Ukrainian territories, including the results of any so-called elections.
