Internally displaced persons who stay in state, municipal, or private property will be compensated for the utilities they consume during their stay.

The Government made this decision at a meeting. The Prime Minister’s order led to the preparation of the draft decree.

The state budget reserve fund will allocate over 39.2 million UAH to the relevant institutions to cover the cost of utilities for August- September 2023. The funds will be used for:

– The state-owned institutions under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Social Policy received over 6.9 million UAH in compensation.

– Municipal institutions, state educational institutions, and jointly owned institutions of territorial communities in the region and district, managed by regional and district councils, received over 30.5 million UAH in funding from local budgets.

The Ministry of Reintegration will provide an additional subsidy from the state budget to local budgets based on the approved distribution among regional budgets.

– Private institutions (excluding private educational institutions) received over 1.8 million UAH.

The Ministry of Reintegration thanks the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Finance for their cooperation in implementing the state policy to support internally displaced persons.
