Families of prisoners or missing persons often require legal assistance. The discussion focused on providing free legal aid to these families.

They discussed potential changes to the Law of Ukraine ‘On Free Legal Aid’ to enable the provision of free legal support:

– Family members of missing persons may receive special assistance under certain circumstances;

– Family members of Ukrainian citizens who have been detained due to the armed aggression against Ukraine.

  “We need to develop legislative changes so that families can receive free legal assistance,” the Vice Prime Minister emphasized.
