The issue was discussed during an interagency meeting led by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.

The Ministry of Health’s pilot project on free dental prosthetics for veterans and combatants will receive 750 million UAH from the budget in 2024. The Government will soon consider the draft resolution on financing the relevant medical institutions.

According to a survey conducted by the Ukrainian Veterans Fund, nearly half of veterans require regular dental care.

The Ministry of Veterans Affairs is working to create a separate program of routine dental care for war veterans.

The meeting participants concluded that the state needs to increase awareness among veterans about the availability of dental support.

The Vice Prime Minister stressed “The importance of dental care for veterans and the need to develop mechanisms for them to access free dental care and dentures. Let’s collaborate to achieve this. ”
