During the forum ’26-2-14: The War Started in Crimea’, Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk emphasized the importance of the event. The forum is being held with the assistance of the Ministry of Reintegration.
The Vice Prime Minister stated that russia entered Ukrainian Crimea and annexed it 10 years ago, despite all the treaties and assurances of the inviolability of Ukraine’s borders. This action was contrary to common sense.
“russia in Crimea will not militarily threaten the world. They will not aim nuclear weapons at democratic, independent European states. The occupiers will not dominate the Black and Azov Seas. We are already proving it,” emphasized the official.
Iryna Vereshchuk thanked international partners for their assistance. She specifically noted the support of the United Kingdom.
“Together with our partners, our victory will be sustainable,” she emphasized.
The Vice Prime Minister expressed deep respect for the military for their feat. She also commended them for their efforts to liberate Ukrainian Crimea from russian occupation.
“We have honor, we have dignity, we keep our word and we take a hit. We have already demonstrated this to the world and will continue. Crimea is Ukraine. It has always been so, and will be so,” Iryna Vereshchuk said.
