The Ukrainian asylum seekers in Moldova will continue to receive temporary protection until March 1, 2025, the government of Moldova announced on its website.

The temporary protection will be extended automatically. The identity document of the temporary protection recipient will also be extended automatically.

The executive branch decided to ensure the stability of Ukrainians who have taken refuge in the country.

Ukrainians with temporary protection will be able to work in the Republic of Moldova without obtaining a temporary residence permit. To do so, they must register with the local territorial unit of the National Employment Agency.

Ukrainians who are currently in the country or who will arrive in Moldova before March 1, 2024, can apply for temporary protection for one year.
