Iryna Vereshchuk, Vice Prime Minister, and the Ministry of Reintegration team visited Irpin and Gorenka in Kyiv Oblast.

They are rebuilding houses that were destroyed in the fighting. One house in Irpen is being rebuilt from the ground up. The other four, two in Irpen and two in Gorenka are being renovated.

The project is implemented with the financial support of the German Government through the Ministry of Reintegration. The financial partner is the German state bank KfW. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is the project manager.

Together with representatives of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, local authorities, KfW, and IOM, Iryna Vereshchuk inspected the damaged houses and talked to the residents. They also discussed the details of the construction and its implementation schedule.

The Vice Prime Minister participated in local public hearings. During these hearings, residents of the houses were able to receive answers regarding the construction details.

The purpose of the working visit was to establish communication between IOM and citizens who will receive apartments in the new building. This will facilitate further cooperation. The text has been edited for grammar and punctuation.

Representatives from the Ministry of Reintegration, IOM, and local authorities held a separate meeting to discuss the implementation of each project in the Kyiv region. They also addressed problematic issues that must be resolved before construction can begin.

They focused on two main issues: demining and preserving Banksy’s mural on the wall of a building in Horenka.

Iryna Vereshchuk emphasized the need to provide people with a roof over their heads as soon as possible and thanked everyone working on the implementation of these projects.
