The Coordination Center for IDPs held a meeting, which was chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk, to discuss this issue.
The meeting participants reported that some social protection authorities and administrative service centers will not be able to schedule appointments for the extension of IDPs’ accommodation payments until April due to the large number of applications received starting from March 1, 2024.
Discussions are currently underway regarding amendments to CMU Resolution No. 332 of March 20, 2022, which approved the procedure for providing housing assistance to IDPs. One option being considered is to extend the deadline for submitting applications until April 30.
If you adopt these changes, internally displaced persons who received assistance and applied for an extension in April will be able to receive payments starting in March.
The Ministry of Reintegration’s hotlines are receiving many calls from IDPs about the deadlines for submitting applications to extend payments. The Vice Prime Minister noted that appropriate amendments to the governmental resolution are currently being worked on to ensure that everyone has enough time to do this.
