The majority of political groups in the European Parliament have called for sanctions on agricultural products from russia and belarus. Currently, these goods have not been subject to EU sanctions.

Andrzej Halicki, the representative of Poland, on behalf of the European People’s Party, the largest group in the European Parliament, called for an urgent embargo on russian agricultural products.
The European Commission is expected to submit a draft law to the EU Council soon.
The European Commission is closely monitoring imports from Russia and Belarus to the EU. It will consider any additional measures necessary to avoid destabilizing EU grain markets.
The Ukrainian-Polish Intergovernmental Commission recently held a meeting in Lviv. Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk led the Ukrainian delegation.
They discussed implementing a complete embargo on russian grain and agricultural products.
