The Government has approved a resolution on the procedure for conducting restorative measures, adaptation measures, and support of persons who have been deprived of personal liberty as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine and have been released. The Ministry of Reintegration has developed the relevant draft act.
The Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the State Protection Department (upon consent) are required to provide reintegration measures and post-isolation support for Ukrainian defenders who have been released from captivity. The Security Service of Ukraine (upon consent) and the Foreign Intelligence Service (upon consent) must also provide such support. The Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Social Policy, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Security Service of Ukraine released the civilians with their consent.
The resolution also provides for:
– improving and streamlining the mechanism of priority measures to ensure social protection of these persons;
– determining the list of measures to organize the provision of medical, rehabilitation, and psychological assistance to such persons;
– approval of requirements for reintegration centers that provide medical, rehabilitation, and psychological assistance to persons released from captivity.
This decision will help implement the state policy of protecting individuals released from captivity and their families. It is important to ensure social and legal protection for them.
