On March 21, the parliament’s website reported that a resolution was adopted at a plenary session regarding the exercise of powers by the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration.    

The Zaporizhzhia DEC made the decision based on President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s proposal. 236 MPs supported the decision.

Following the Law “On the Legal Regime of Martial Law”, the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration took over the budgetary powers of the regional council at the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

During martial law, the regional military administration will address additional regional issues beyond its usual scope.
