During the weekly meeting of the Coordination Center for IDPs, Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk chaired the discussion.
Some categories of IDPs who had been receiving assistance for a year or two were extended for another 6 months. On March 1, around 535,000 internally displaced persons, primarily those with disabilities of groups These are primarily people with disabilities of groups 1 and 2, as well as pensioners whose pensions do not exceed 9444 UAH.
The meeting participants reported technical problems with the automatic extension of payments to IDPs with disabilities. They stated that these issues will be resolved soon.
The Vice Prime Minister emphasized that people in disability groups 1 and 2 will receive their IDP payments in March, even if they have a ticket for the Center for Administrative Services in May.
Other IDPs who do not fit into these categories had to submit relevant applications to social protection agencies or the ASCs. Therefore, 196,000 IDP families have already applied to social protection departments for the extension of their benefits. In March, payments were processed and assigned to 98 thousand families (personal accounts), or 181 thousand people.
The social protection departments are still processing the remaining applications for extending payments to IDPs. Those that are approved will receive payments for 2 months at a time in April.
You can apply for reassignment of payments until April 30. Payments to IDPs will be accrued starting in March.
