The matter was addressed at a weekly meeting on veterans’ policy, chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk. 

The Ministry of Veterans is currently undertaking a project to reformat the Veteran’s Assistant initiative. Based on the experience gained, the Ministry plans to introduce a specialist to support war veterans and demobilized persons.

The pilot project to introduce a veteran’s assistant will be used in the updated project.

The emergence of these specialists will result in a shift in the way veterans, demobilized persons, and their families receive comprehensive support, particularly during the transition from military service to civilian life.

The necessary regulations are currently being developed to implement this project as soon as possible.
