Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk said this at an expanded meeting of the Coordination Center for Civilian Support at the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration.
They talked about veterans’ policy, one of the Coordination Center’s main areas of work.
The team concentrated on preparing for the reception of demobilized veterans. In particular, they discussed the development of algorithms to support veterans and their families.
For instance, a specific questionnaire has been created for veterans, gathering essential data about their requirements, injuries, etc.
The meeting also addressed the matter of compensation for veterans who have lost limbs as a result of combat operations.
“These payments must be fair. We must convert gratitude for our protection into tangible assistance,” the Vice Prime Minister stated.
Furthermore, they discussed the necessity of streamlining the paperwork process for deceased soldiers.
It is the responsibility of military units to provide the necessary data to the Territorial Recruitment Center at their place of residence promptly. This is to ensure that the families of fallen soldiers receive the appropriate benefits.
“Caring for veterans is our common cause,” emphasized Iryna Vereshchuk.
