Today marks the 80th anniversary of the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people from Crimea. This was one of the most egregious actions of the communist regime when more than 190,000 Crimean Tatars were forcibly relocated to remote regions of the Soviet Union.
Russia imitates these criminal practices. It continues its repressive policy, which has already killed thousands of Ukrainians.
Today, we honor those who suffered under the USSR and russia. Remembering the past makes us stronger.
We support Ukraine’s military, which is helping to free Crimea from occupation.
Crimea is Ukraine!
