Today, the government-controlled territory returned the bodies of 254 defenders.

The transfer was made in collaboration with various key organizations, including the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, the Ministry of Reintegration, the Commissioner for Missing Persons, and in partnership with the Joint Centre at SBU, the Central Military Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other law enforcement agencies, departments, and international organizations.

The Ukrainian army will take the bodies and remains to state institutions. Police and forensic experts will identify the victims.

Following the process of identification, the bodies of our fallen colleagues will be transferred to their next-of-kin for appropriate interment.
