The next wave of applications for grants for veterans and their families yielded 62 winners who will receive a total of UAH 30 million to start or develop their businesses. The Government portal reports.
The winners include 35 combatants and 27 family members of veterans. Eight winners will receive up to UAH 250 thousand, 52 to UAH 500 thousand, and two more to UAH 1 million.
Most grantees are from Vinnytsia, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, and Kyiv.
The program participants are planning to develop their businesses in a bunch of different areas, including wholesale and retail trade, vehicle and motorcycle repair, temporary accommodation and catering, processing industry, and agriculture.
A total of 746 veterans and their families have already been awarded grants through the “Grant for Your Own Business” program since its inception for veterans. The state is investing UAH 340 million in these businesses through grants.
