The Ministry of Reintegration and the Ukrainian Child Rights Network helped 6-year-old Maksym and 12-year-old Mykyta return to government-controlled territory.
At the start of the invasion, the boys were staying with their grandparents. Maksym was in Zaporizhzhia, Mykyta was in Luhansk. After the occupation, they couldn’t leave right away.
The Way Home project helped the boys return. It is run by the Ukrainian Child Rights Network and the Ministry of Reintegration.
