Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk met with people working on housing for people who have been forced to leave their homes.

They reviewed several proposed amendments to the bylaws.

They also looked at the progress of a draft resolution on inspecting destroyed property in the TOT, active conflict zones, and areas where state electronic information resources are used. The draft is with the Cabinet of Ministers’ Secretariat and is waiting for a government committee to review it.

Participants also considered the need to amend the Procedure for Providing Compensation for Damaged or Destroyed Property. It is proposed to allow citizens to re-apply for compensation under the eRecovery program if they cannot use the compensation received as a result of the first application.

The participants talked about changes to the checklist for figuring out how much compensation should be given for fixing damaged real estate. This was approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 381 (eRecovery), and it’s related to updating the average cost of repair work.

They also looked at ways to change how the Register of Damaged and Destroyed Property works. They’ve made it so you can apply for compensation for destroyed or damaged property without the co-owner’s consent.
