The final event of the “United Voices in Action” program is scheduled to take place in Kyiv. The program is being implemented by the International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX in Ukraine) in cooperation with the Stabilization Support Services Foundation with the support of the U.S. Department of State.
Over the past three years, the program has operated in 25 communities across 15 regions of Ukraine. Its primary target audiences are internally displaced persons (IDPs) aged 6-18 and 30+, as well as residents of host communities.
The “Uniting for Action” program and the Ministry of Reintegration have had successful cooperation. This has resulted in:
- A plan for dealing with people who have been forced to leave their homes until 2025.
- 15 regional forums were held to discuss the situation of IDPs. This led to a resolution to support the creation of IDP Councils.
- 29 local and district-level and 12 regional IDP councils were set up and supported.
- 30 strategic sessions for IDP Councils with over 500 participants.
- 16 training sessions on setting up IDP councils (over 200 people).
- 15 training sessions for IDP councils (over 200 participants).
- 17 forum plays were shown to over 400 people.
- Created info and training materials for IDP Councils.
- Created an animated video about IDP Councils that reached over 200,000 people on YouTube.
- The project lawyers provided 15,510 consultations to IDPs and authorities and 2,186 to others.
The Ministry of Reintegration thanks IREX Ukraine, Stabilization Support Services, and the U.S. Department of State for their help.
