Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk presided over an interagency meeting on the implementation of international technical assistance projects of the Ukrainian Social Investment Fund (USIF), which are being carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Reintegration and the Government of Germany.
The projects are financed with the support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through the Reconstruction Credit Institution (KfW).
The meeting addressed the status of several USIF initiatives, including EU4Skills: Modernization of Vocational Education and Training Infrastructure in Ukraine and Vocational Education in the Eastern Partnership.
The meeting focused on projects in Vinnytsia, Lviv, Kharkiv, and Dnipro. They discussed fixing outpatient clinics, modernizing vocational schools, and providing temporary housing for displaced people.
In July, the Primary Health Care Center in Slobozhanske village opened in Dnipropetrovsk oblast as part of the USIF VIII project.
Construction on the lab at Municipal Hospital No. 1 in Kryvyi Rih is almost done.
“Our objective is to facilitate collaboration between all relevant stakeholders, including local authorities and associated organizations, to guarantee the successful implementation of these programs,” the Vice Prime Minister stated.
