The meeting discussed how Lithuania helps Ukrainian citizens abroad.

Three private Ukrainian-language schools in Lithuania are accredited by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports of Lithuania.

We are discussing the following:

– The International Ukrainian School of Lithuania, which currently has five branches across the country.

– The school “Gravity”, was previously located in Kharkiv and is now situated in Vilnius.

– The Ukrainian school “Glory to Heroes” in Kaunas.

Furthermore, in September 2022, the Ministry of Education and Science initiated the opening of Ukrainian primary school classes in select Lithuanian public schools.

Consequently, over 3,000 Ukrainian children are receiving instruction in their native language in Lithuania, with approximately 600 Ukrainian educators currently employed in their respective fields.

Mykhailo Latynskyi, Deputy Minister for Reintegration of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania, expressed gratitude to representatives of Ukrainian schools and classes in Lithuania for facilitating communication with Ukraine for children.
