The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and the Ministry of Reintegration, aim to enhance the resilience of life support systems in frontline areas. The primary focus is on ensuring reliable energy and heat supply.

Electricity

The ICRC helps keep thermal power plants in Mykolaiv and Kherson running, as well as Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo, which serves 245,000 customers. This keeps hospitals and other important facilities running.

Medical facilities

Twenty-five institutions, including seven hospitals, will get heating equipment, stoves, food heating and storage devices, solar panels, and power plants.

Emergency medical services and some other institutions will get 250 tons of fuel briquettes for the winter.

Project with Kharkiv Heating Networks

The ICRC is helping Kharkiv Heating Networks restore heat-generating capacity. The project rebuilds modular gas-fueled boiler houses in Kharkiv to provide heat to 100,000 residents.

Households in frontline communities will receive UAH 25,000 from the ICRC to help them get through winter. This program is being implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Reintegration.
