This issue was discussed at a meeting on humanitarian response in Ukraine. Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, chaired the event.
The participants also talked about the transfer of 28 modular gas boiler houses from the Ministry of Infrastructure to the communal ownership of Dnipro, Kremenchuk, and Kharkiv city. The responsible ministry is preparing a draft order on the transfer of equipment.
The representatives of the Donetsk, Chernivtsi, and Poltava regional military administrations provided an update on the status of the modular boiler houses provided by UNICEF. This equipment is designed to provide heat to medical and educational institutions in the communities. Currently, some facilities are still undergoing connection works, which are expected to be completed by the beginning of the heating season.
“Preparing frontline communities for the winter period is now one of the government’s top priorities. We must complete all necessary work before the start of the heating season,” emphasized Iryna Vereshchuk.
