Yesterday the Ukrainian side did not receive a response from the ICRC to its proposals to open humanitarian corridors today. Therefore, the issue of its organization for Izyum and Mariupol remains open. This was stated by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk.
“During the work of humanitarian corridors the last few days there were gross violations of the regime of ceasefire by the Russian Federation. The occupiers fired on humanitarian convoys of buses, settlements, and evacuation points.
Yesterday the occupiers took 400 people as hostage at the Regional Intensive Care Clinic in Mariupol and continue shelling directly from the hospital. This poses a huge threat to the movement of people through humanitarian corridors, Vereshchuk said.
At the same time, routes for the delivery of humanitarian aid to besieged or captured Ukrainian cities will be developed today. These are cities and villages of Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv regions.
