The Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk said that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation had sent a letter to Ukraine in which it extended an 8-page ultimatum to Mariupol residents to lay down their arms and go out through the corridors with white flags.

«Of course, we did not accept such proposals – Iryna Vereshchuk explained. – The letter was called openly manipulating by the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross».

At the same time, Iryna Vereshchuk said that the day before Ukraine had planned to open another humanitarian corridor from Mariupol. Routes to Berdyansk and Mangush were developed.

«In the morning, 26 buses left these routes and are currently passing a checkpoint in Vasylivka. I really hope that in a few hours they will reach the specified collection points and people will be able to get to Zaporizhzhia on this transport» – the official said.
