During the war, the Ukrainian Government offered more than 340 humanitarian corridors. The occupiers agreed on about 300, in fact there were 176 of them. The reason is regular violations of the ceasefire by the occupiers, as well as – the delay and seizure of evacuation buses, humanitarian aid and etc.
Thus, today in the Donbass – due to intense shelling – humanitarian corridors have not worked. The occupiers also refused to open it from Mariupol, including from the “Azovstal” factory: for women, children and other civilians, – despite yesterday’s request from the Ukrainian public authorities.
The occupiers continue to hold the Ukrainian citizenz hostage, and everyone involved will be held fully responsible for this war crime.
However, the work on the opening of humanitarian corridors does not stop. At present, as the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk informed, negotiations on their opening in Kherson and Kharkiv regions are continuing.
