Iryna Vereshchuk: today more than 4.2 thousand citizens have been evacuated through humanitarian corridors

The Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk spoke about the results of the work of humanitarian corridors on April 2.

In particular, almost 1,300 people traveled from Mariupol and Berdyansk to Zaporizhzhia by their own transport. Of which – 765 came from Mariupol, as well as – 498 residents of the cities: Berdyansk, Melitopol, Pology, Orikhiv and Vasylivka.

An evacuation convoy of 10 buses from Berdyansk with more than 300 Mariupol residents has already passed Vasylivka.

The movement of columns of people on private vehicles also continues.

Meanwhile, in the Luhansk region, almost 2,700 citizens have now been evacuated from the cities of Severodonetsk, Rubizhne, Lysychansk, Kreminna, Popasna and the village of Nyzhne.

In addition, today another 17 buses arrived from Zaporizhzhia to Berdyansk, which will continue to evacuate Mariupol residents from Berdyansk tomorrow morning, some of which will try to get closer to Mariupol, Iryna Vereshchuk said.
