“The Russians do not confirm the capture of our civilians, not admitting that they kidnapped priests, teachers, journalists, mayors and deputies. And now there are several hundred such people who need to be released” – said Iryna Vereshchuk, the head of the Ministry of Reintegration.

Thus, the fate of Oleksiy Danchenko, a Ukrainian rescuer and an employee of the State Emergency Service, who was abducted by the occupiers near the capital, is still unknown.

However, Iryna Vereshchuk still hopes for a successful end to this story.

“We know that Oleksiy was on the territory of one of the glass factories in Kyiv region. Negotiations lasted several days and the Russian side was obliged to return him. But then the occupier began to retreat in a hurry, leaving everything and everyone. We hope to find him alive” – the official expresses her hope.
