Iryna Vereshchuk: “As a result of the work of humanitarian corridors on April 12, there are 2,671 people that have been evacuated”

The Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk summed up the results of the evacuation on Tuesday.

According to her words, a total of 2,671 people have been evacuated so far.

Thus, 2,343 people traveled from Mariupol and Berdyansk by their own transport to Zaporizhzhia.

Among them:

▪️208 people – Mariupol;

▪️2135 people – residents of cities of Zaporizhzhia region (Pology, Vasylivka, Berdyansk and Melitopol).

At the same time, convoys of buses that left Zaporizhzhia to evacuate people from Berdyansk, Tokmak and Energodar, the occupying forces continue to block at the checkpoint in Vasylivka.

“We are looking for opportunities to unblock the passage of buses in different ways,” said Irina Vereshchuk.

Also today, 328 civilians of Luhansk region were evacuated from the cities of Lysychansk, Severodonetsk, Rubizhne, Kreminna and Popasna.
