Russian authorities do not allow UNICEF, the Red Cross or anybody else to have access to them, the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk informed in an interview with HuffPost Italia.
International humanitarian organizations, that are called to check the situation and intervene to protect the rights of Ukrainian children, in russia can not control the situation.
“We are concerned about the situation around our children who were abducted by the occupiers and illegally taken to russia” – the official said.
At the same time, she thanked the European community for ensuring the safety of young Ukrainian orphans and children arriving in Europe without their parents.
“We can control their safety. As our Government is in contact with UNICEF, which monitors our minors arriving in Romania, Poland or Italy. We know that they are under guardianship” – Iryna Vereshchuk highlighted.
