Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Lviv region is one of the regions that has received the largest number of IDPs from dangerous regions. According to official data, more than 245,000 internally displaced persons have taken refuge in the region. The actual number of IDPs is twice as high.
The team of the Ministry of Reintegration visited the Coordination Center for Assistance to IDPs, which is located on the territory of one of the largest stadiums in Ukraine, Arena Lviv, where people from dangerous regions come to get help daily.
Since the beginning of the war, the center has become a temporary shelter for about 35 thousand of our compatriots. Currently, 174 IDPs live there, including 52 children.
Doctors, social workers and psychologists work in the shelter. All the necessary conditions are created here for the war-affected people. The IDPs are provided with food and humanitarian aid. All people have social guarantees from the state.
We are reminding that in the Lviv region, training in working professions is being organized for war victims.
