The Ministry of Reintegration is initiating a draft resolution on the protection of children in the zone of hostilities and armed conflicts.
This was announced during a meeting of the Coordination Headquarters for the De-occupied Territories chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.
The resolution provides for allowing the RMA (regional military administrations), in agreement with the military command and the Coordination Headquarters for Compulsory Evacuation, to decide on the compulsory evacuation of children with their parents or persons in loco parentis.
Such decisions may be made in relation to certain settlements where active hostilities are taking place. At the same time, parents’ refusal to undergo mandatory evacuation is unacceptable.
“If parents cannot take care of their children’s safety, the state will do it!” emphasized Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.
We are reminding that mandatory evacuation of children and people with limited mobility was announced in Kupyansk district.
