Relatives of prisoners of war are asking the Ministry of Reintegration to clarify what kind of state financial assistance they can expect.

Thus, citizens who have been deprived of their personal liberty as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine are entitled to receive it. This applies to both military personnel and civilians.

Family members of these persons also have this right during their stay in places of detention.

The fact of deprivation of personal liberty as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine is established by a special Commission that operates under the Ministry of Reintegration.

Upon release, a prisoner receives a one-time financial assistance of 100 thousand hryvnias. At the same time, they are also entitled to an annual allowance of 100 thousand hryvnias for each year of detention.

If a person is still not released, one of their family members may receive an annual allowance for each year of captivity.

We are reminding that the Ministry of Reintegration continues to transfer funds for payments to those released from captivity.
